Flu + Back to Work = a fun meal prep for the week!
Oh hey!
It's my preproduction week! And I have the flu!
So, I'll definitely be working from home tomorrow. But that doesn't mean I can putter around the apartment tomorrow; I'll be working. Time is precious during preproduction, and I can't mess around with that, flu or not.
In light of that, I prepped for the week as if I'll be in the office all five days that I was meant to be. I'll pull from the fridge tomorrow and eat exactly what I would have brought to work. And hopefully I'll be mended enough to join the rest of the team soon!
Here is what I've prepped this week!
- breakfasts: overnight oats with banana and dried mango
- lunches: chicken salad with pickled peaches
- lunches: ziti bolognese with mushrooms
- snacks: apples, bananas, oranges (and I might hard boil some eggs, but probably not...)
- dinners: matzo ball soup
Check out the individual posts for details about what groceries I had on hand versus what I had to buy. Here are the grand totals, including the fruit!
Total monies spent for the entire week of meals: $26.66
Average monies: $4.44/day (this is a six day week; my day off is early this week, and then I'll have a slightly longer week next week).
New production... flu... phsssst! I got this!
I've also added two more things to the freezer...
And now I'm done, I swear! Things will only be coming OUT of the freezer for the next three months!
