A snack-full week
Man oh man, I bet if you X-Ray'd me right now, you'd discover that I am only 90% human, and then 10% peanut butter pretzel nugget. I am losing the snacking battle.
So I've prepped a lot of good snacks this week! Grapes, crudités, roasted chickpeas. I also went with some good protein-y meals from the freezer and a new-to-me udon and shrimp salad. I'm gonna kick this peanut butter pretzel nugget monkey off my back!
Here is what I've prepped this week!
- breakfasts: sardines on knäckebröd (wasa crispbread) (don't judge! fish is a great way to start the day!)
- lunch/dinner: udon with shrimp, sugar snap peas, and peanuts
- lunch/dinner: quick and easy lamb and barley soup (from the freezer)
- lunch/dinner: ham, cheddar, and mushroom quiche (from the freezer)
- snacks: grapes, crudités (grape tomatoes, cucumber slices, red pepper slices, and carrot sticks), and roasted chick peas with smoked paprika and garlic
And here's the full tally, including the food from the freezer and all the fruit and veggies...
Total monies spent for the entire week of meals: $59.33
Average monies: $8.48/day
It's only 3pm, and I've been to the movies and cooked for the week. I did bring a little bit of work home, so I'm going to take care of that and then enjoy the rest of the day spoiling my dog. Happy Day Off!
