This week
Huzzah!
This is my last week of semi-employment before I hit the ground running full time on the next project. I have a ton of lunch and dinner dates this week so that I can see people before I really focus in on work for the next while.
For the meals that I'm not eating out, I made a favorite stinky dish that I would never in a million years want to subject my coworkers to smelling indefinitely in a shared work space. I also defrosted some leftover portions of black-eyed peas, as they're taking up valuable freezer space and are similarly not-work-appropriate.
It's a perfect plan, making room for even more freezer prep while also an opportunity to enjoy some favorites!
Here is what I've prepped this week!
- breakfasts: kale and cheddar strata
- snacks: oranges
- lunches/dinners: singapore noodles
- lunches/dinners: black-eyed peas with cabbage and sausage
Check out the individual posts for details about what groceries I had on hand versus what I had to buy. Here are the grand totals, including the fruit!
Total monies spent for the entire week of meals: $26.04
Average monies: $3.75/day.
Meanwhile, I've also been hard at work continuing to fill up my freezer.
Over the weekend, I prepped and froze:
There just a little bit more room in my freezer, so I'll do probably two more freezer meals this week. We're cooking with gas! (Literally, though.)
