New Year's Eve Madness!
Happy Belated New Year!
When I can, I really try to go all out for a holiday meal, stretching my comfort zone, trying new things, and treating my guests like gold.
Because my show closed early, I had all of New Year's weekend off, so I was able to shop and prep for what turned out to be a hugely successful, incredibly delicious evening.
Here is what we ate and drank!

- Black Olive Tapenade and Charred Eggplant-Tahini Spread with Whole Grain Crackers and Baguette Toasts
- Shrimp Cocktail with Green Cocktail Sauce
- Risotto with Squid, Shiitakes, and Tomatoes

We were very, very, very happy campers. It was a perfect and satisfying way to ring in the new year.
