Here we go!
Hiiiiiii!
We're about to be off and running, with load-in to the studio tomorrow, and then boom! Rehearsals.
I wanted to treat myself this week with some special treats to mark the moment, but I also think I balanced the "don't end up with extra ingredients becoming sad in the fridge" matrix particularly nicely today.
Here is what I've prepped this week!
- breakfasts: toast with tomato jam (I make a TON of Mark Bittman's tomato jam in the summer time and freeze it by the pint to enjoy for the rest of the year. It is insanely delicious. And I had bread from last week to use up. Nom.)
- lunches: pineapple black fried rice
- lunches: roasted cauliflower soup with mustard greens and turkey kielbasa
- snack: oranges
- snack: beet salad with mozzarella and balsamic
- snack: hardboiled eggs (you don't need a post about this, do you? that said, while they are cooked and peeled and comfy in the fridge right now, they may transform into deviled eggs later in the week if I find I have a little bit of evening time... it would be a bonus treat!)
- dinners: green lasagna with lemon-parmesan sauce
Check out the individual posts for details about what groceries I had on hand versus what I had to buy. Here are the grand totals!
Total monies spent for the entire week of meals: $60.32
Average monies: $7.54/day (this is an 8 day week, rebalancing from last week's 6 day week!).
It's on!
