Late posting again, but full of yummy food this week
Well, we've flipped the day off, so now we are working Tuesdays through Sundays, meaning that my most recent prep day was Monday. Nevertheless, I do apologize for not posting until today, Saturday. It's already almost prep day all over again!
Though, I kinda don't apologize, because this is all about self-care, right? I cook for self-care, and I rest and hang with the dog and read for self-care. I do love the writing and sharing, but I have needed to grab my rest where I can get it these days. It has been important. I hope you don't mind the late share.
This has been a wonderful week of food. I made sure I used up ingredients that would otherwise go to waste. I gave into some cravings. I tried some new things. I treated myself like gold. I've finally nipped my snacking in the bud. And I saved some dough! (No pun intended, even though yeah... I made pizzas this week.)
Here is what I've prepped this week!
- breakfasts: high protein waffles... this time with yogurt
- lunch/dinner: pizza with braised fennel, caramelized onions, and green olives
- lunch/dinner: egg salad with mustard and pickles
- lunch/dinner: barley soup with greens
- snacks: left over oranges and yogurts from last week
And here's the grand total for what I spent...
Total monies spent for the entire week of meals: $23.35
Average monies: $3.34/day
